Easy Décor Hack: Giant Halloween Skeleton with Glow Spray Paint

The viral trend of the larger-than-life skeleton started a few years ago and keeps popping up in yards every Halloween. We’ll show you how to make your giant Halloween skeleton even cooler! You don’t have to go digging to find an idea that will have your house be the talk of the neighborhood. Make it GLOW! Supplies Needed:

COLORSHOT Premium Spray Paint Glow in the Dark Lightning Bug

COLORSHOT Premium Spray Paint White Primer (optional)

Giant Halloween Skeleton

Cardboard, drop cloth, or other protective surface cover

Dust rag or cloth

Painter’s tape

 

Step 1:  Prepare work surface/area

Prepare skeleton for painting

Prepare your giant Halloween skeleton by using your dust rag or cloth to completely wipe it down removing any dust or debris. Use painter’s tape to mask off any areas of giant Halloween skeleton that you don’t want to have glow. Place your giant Halloween skeleton onto a drop cloth or protective surface cover in a well-ventilated area. For maximum adhesion and color vibrancy, an optional step would be to use COLORSHOT White Primer on your project before painting with glow paint.

 

Step 2:  Apply Lightning Bug Glow in the Dark Paint to Giant Halloween Skeleton

For this DIY giant Halloween skeleton, we are adding COLORSHOT glow paint to give this fun giant Halloween skeleton an eerie glow effect after dark! Begin applying a light layer of Lightning Bug spray paint at the top of giant Halloween skeleton and work your way down. Allow to dry to the touch – about 10 minutes.

 

Step 3:  Activate Glow-in-the-Dark Effect

After removing painter’s tape from your masked off areas, let your giant Halloween skeleton charge in sunlight or artificial light for a few minutes to activate the glow-in-the-dark effect. Paint will glow naturally in the dark and illuminate under UV black lights.

 

Step 4:  Display!

 

Display your skeleton
