Treasure Chest COLORSHOT Spray Paint
Yes, we’re biased about spray paint, but we also truly think it’s one of the easiest ways to give an item new life! So to start on your home improvement DIY adventure, you’ll want to choose your favorite COLORSHOT Spray Paint color (and we have lots to choose from). Audrey went with the bright gold of Treasure Chest.
Clean surface and use primer if needed
Before you jump into the spray painting part of this home improvement DIY, you’ll want to clean the surface from prints, dust and debris. Some items may require light sanding too. Although COLORSHOT already has primer in the paint, if the surface is slick and shiny, we recommend using primer first for even stronger spray paint adhesion.
Work in a well-ventilated area
When working with any spray paint, you’ll want to make sure you are in a well-ventilated area. Protect your space with a drop cloth, and remove any parts of the table (or other item) that you don’t want painted, like glass panels.
Spray several light coats instead of one heavy coat
Prep your spray paint according to instructions, then spray several light coats instead of heavy coats to avoid drips and pooling.
Let the paint dry completely
Do you feel like a home improvement DIY expert yet? The only thing left to do once you are happy with your spray paint coverage, is to let the paint dry!
Gold finish
Look at that beautiful gold! It’s like discovering an actual treasure chest full of fabulousness!
Console table home improvement DIY
Once your table (or other item) is finished, it’s time to put it on display! Audrey made her table a focal point by placing it in the window with pretty plants and other fun décor items.
