Supplies Needed:
COLORSHOT Premium Spray Paint (this project uses Stiletto, Head in the Clouds, and Hello Handsome)
Wooden wands
Drop cloth or protective surface cover
Assorted ribbons
Scissors
Step 1: Prepare the wooden wands
This 4th of July craft uses star-shaped wooden wands for an Americana-inspired look! Ensure the wooden wands are clean, dry, and free of dust or debris, then place them onto your protective surface cover. Remember to work in a well-ventilated area when using spray paint. For this project, @lulu__make is using Stiletto, Head in the Clouds, and Hello Handsome to create wands with a classic patriotic palette!
Step 2: Spray paint the wooden wands
Be sure to shake the can for at least 1 minute before painting! Apply spray paint to the wands in smooth, even strokes, ensuring the wood is evenly coated. Allow the paint to dry to the touch, then flip the wands over and paint the back side. Let the paint dry to the touch before applying additional coats as needed. Once you are satisfied with the coverage on your 4th of July crafts, allow the spray paint to cure completely.
Step 3: Tie ribbons and enjoy!
Once the paint has dried completely, the wands are ready to be embellished. Let your little one choose the ribbons to add to this 4th of July craft, cut and tie the ribbons to the base of the wand, and enjoy! Still craving more 4th of July crafts?
