A lot of prep work goes into a custom car paint job with COLORSHOT! This car needed to be buffed and primed before any spray paint was applied.
Some pieces of this custom car paint job were painted separately and assembled back onto the car once dry. TheTwistedG had a great setup for this; the panels were hanging for easy access, and there was plenty of ventilation in the garage!
Since some panels couldn’t be removed, paint was applied directly to the car body. This custom car paint job took quite a few coats of paint to complete— good thing he remembered to cover the windows and mirrors to protect from overspray!

We aren’t kidding when we say it takes a lot of spray paint for a custom car paint job! This next project used at least 16 cans of COLORSHOT, plus a few cans of White Primer and Clear Sealer Gloss. Other useful supplies include painter’s tape, self-cling drop cloths, and sanding sponges.
We love that TheTwistedG isn’t afraid to play with color! This custom car paint job got the Aromatherapy treatment for a pretty shade of periwinkle.
