Customize Your Child’s Playhouse with COLORSHOT

Customize Your Child’s Playhouse with COLORSHOT

Creating the playhouse of your child’s dreams is just a few sprays away with COLORSHOT Premium Spray Paint! Our super creative team member Lindsay Sherfy customized this playhouse for her daughter, and we love it so much we’re ready to move in. It’s just our style! Whether you’re creating a playhouse from scratch like Lindsay or want to update one your child already has, get out the COLORSHOT and get ready to make their playtime adventures at home extra sweet this summer.

What you need:

- COLORSHOT Premium Spray Paint – desired colors (shown here: Stamped Passport, Splash, Sugarcoat It)

- Playhouse

- Masking tape

- Heavy paper or plastic for protecting surfaces

Depending on what type of materials the playhouse is made from, you might want to test your spray paints in a hidden area to make sure the paint is compatible. (Some types of plastics might not be.) Make sure the playhouse is clean and free of dust, and remove or cover any portion you do not want painted in the main color. You can use masking tape and heavy paper or plastic to cover pieces or sections of the playhouse you can’t remove.

Spray paint the house and let dry, then paint the roof

Spray several light coats of your main house color onto the playhouse, letting dry between coats. Once completely dry, use tape and plastic or heavy paper to cover the house portion so you can paint the roof. Repeat spray painting the roof in several light coats of color. Note: it’s better to spray light coats instead of one heavy coat to avoid paint dripping and/or pooling.

Paint fixtures and attachments before reattaching to the house

Paint fixtures and attachments before reattaching to the house

Paint any fixtures or attachments before adding back on to the house. Lindsay painted the light fixtures Stamped Passport to match the roof, and the door Splash, a complementary shade of light blue. With so many to choose from, mixing and matching your COLORSHOT colors is a whole new creative adventure!

Reattach fixtures to house and add decorative accents

Once all playhouse fixtures and attachments are dry, reattach to the house. Now it’s time to add those fun decorative touches like welcome mats, plants, and whatever makes your little one feel at home in their playhouse.
