Apply a base color to your canvas. For this project, Lauren Q created a set of 3 maximalist décor canvases using Island Girl, Mermaid, and Scuba as base colors! Spray several light coats until your desired level of color is achieved, allowing paint to dry between coats. Remember to work in a well-ventilated area and paint over scrap cardboard or other protective surface area to catch any overspray.
Use a pre-cut stencil with floral shapes to add flowers to your canvas. Repeat this process with as many colors as you’d like to customize your maximalist décor— Lauren Q used Farmer’s Daughter, Cosmo, Aromatherapy, Orange Slice, Emoji, and Cash! Use a separate stencil to create a vase for each set of floral spray paint art.
