You’ve seen similar mirrors priced for hundreds or even thousands of dollars. But what if you could make it yourself for a fraction of the price? Brianna Brown shows us how to revamp that thrift find to create a bold and elegant vintage-inspired mirror with COLORSHOT Premium Spray Paint!
- COLORSHOT Premium Spray Paint (This project uses First Million)
- Mirror
- Floral wood appliques
Before you get started on your project, thoroughly clean your mirror from any dust and debris. Use Aleene’s Wood Glue to secure the floral wood appliques to the corners and top of the mirror’s frame. Allow to dry fully before proceeding.
Cover the surface of the mirror and use painter’s tape along the edges to avoid overspray. In a well-ventilated area, spray the mirror’s frame with several light coats of COLORSHOT Premium Spray Paint, letting dry between coats. We used First Million in this project for an elegant metallic finish!
Allow the paint to cure for at least 24 hours. Then, remove the surface covering and painter’s tape from the mirror.
Lean the mirror against a wall and get ready to take some selfies! No one would guess that you made this gorgeous ornate mirror for under $100. It’s nice to be a baller on a budget!
