What you need:

- COLORSHOT Premium Spray Paint – desired color plus Primer

- Sandpaper/sander

- Rag for buffing

- Drop cloth

- Painter’s tape

- Saran wrap

- Sealer

Prep fridge for painting

Prep fridge for painting

Prepping your fridge for painting is key, and will make the painting process so much easier! Remove the handles and doors, and make sure to safely store all screws and loose pieces somewhere safe so you have them ready to go when reassembling the fridge. Next sand the fridge enough to give the paint enough texture to grip onto. Lolly Jane used medium-grit sandpaper with an electric sander. The wipe everything down with a damp rag to remove all dust.

Tape off and prime fridge

Use plastic wrap to cover the inside shelves of the fridge, and use painter’s tape to help hold it in place. Tape off the insides of the doors as well. COLORSHOT spray paints have primer in them, but you can spray the fridge and its parts with primer first for extra coverage before painting.

Spray light, even coats

Now it’s time to paint! Shake your cans of spray paint very well, then spray at least two light, even coats onto the fridge and doors, letting dry between coats. Add another coat if you need, then let everything dry and cure completely.

If you want to make the handles stand out like Lolly Jane, spray paint them a fun accent color that vibes with your overall kitchen color scheme! After the paint has dried, seal all parts with spray sealer to help preserve and protect it. Once everything has cured, reattach the handles and doors.
