Before you get start painting your custom tumbler cup, remove the lid and lightly sand shiny surfaces for better spray paint adhesion. Make sure your tumbler is clean and free of dust, then cover the inside and lip with masking tape. Prime your tumbler with COLORSHOT White Primer, if desired.
Set up your work surface in a well-ventilated area to avoid inhaling any spray paint fumes. Use a drop cloth or other protective surface cover to catch any overspray. Mount your tumbler onto a pole for easy access while spray painting. To create a rainbow swirl for your custom tumbler cup, apply color while rotating the pole. Allow the paint to dry to the touch, then apply COLORSHOT Clear Sealer Gloss to your custom tumbler cup.
Now it’s time to try the soap bubble painting technique! While the sealer is still wet, work quickly to coat your custom tumbler cup with dish soap spray.
Immediately coat your custom tumbler cup with a coat of Marshmallow white spray paint, then rinse off the tumbler. You’ll see that the soap bubble painting technique leaves a fun and bubbly resist pattern on your custom tumbler cup!
