Yard sales and thrift stores are great places to find furniture and decor to upcycle for super cheap! Aubrey found this side table and lamp at a thirft store and planned on giving them a totally modern makeover with bright COLORSHOT Spray Paint colors. Make sure all of your items are clean and free from any dust and prints before painting.

Rather than priming the wood table with a basecoat of Primer, Aubrey decided to start with adding Stiletto directly since the paint already has primer in it. If the table you are going to upcycle is made from slick materials, you might want to go ahead and prime first for best results. Spray several light coats of color at a time, until you are happy with the finished result. Let dry completely.

The lamp Aubrey upcycled was brass, but yours can be glass, plastic or wood as well!

Aubrey's tip: since the spray paint color is buildable, you can leave some of the brass shining through for a more vintage look, or spray until the color is opaque for a vibrant makeover.

Did you know you can spray paint lampshades too? Aubrey opted for Lucky Penny for a pretty metallic sheen.

Continue spraying light coats until you have a smooth, even finish.
