Before you start on this ombre furniture flip, remove any hardware from the cabinet. Carefully set aside these parts and be sure not to lose any pieces. We also recommend lightly sanding the furniture to remove any varnish. Move the cabinet to a well-ventilated area on a drop cloth to catch any overspray.
Once you’ve prepped your cabinet, it’s time to begin painting! (Optional: Apply a few coats of COLORSHOT White Primer as a base for even extra vibrant results!) Pick which colors you’d like to use— for this ombre furniture flip, Lauren Quigley Creations opted for a warm ombre gradient using Wine Stain, Cosmo, Farmer’s Daughter, Summer Pedicure, Orange Slice, and Emoji. Start with one color and apply the spray paint in light, even coats. Repeat with as many colors as you’d like to create the customized cabinet of your dreams!
Once you have finished spray painting your cabinet, allow to dry for at least 24 hours so the paint can cure. (Optional: Seal with a few coats of COLORSHOT Clear Sealer Gloss for a super shiny finish on your customized cabinets!) Re-attach any hardware that you’ve removed, then display your cabinet as the statement piece it was always meant to be!
